Samuel Maudet
Chef and co-owner
Samuel worked as a chef in France, the United States, the West Indies and Canada for 20 years before embarking on the Au bout là-bas adventure.
His passion for gourmet cuisine and the art of breadmaking led him to establish Au bout là-bas with Christina in Lachine in 2022.
Soon, customers were charmed and began visiting him every week for a fresh croissant or coffee.

Co-owner
After several years spent between Ontario and Quebec, Christina decided to make her mark in Lachine and launched Au bout là-bas with Samuel.
Christina is known for her boundless energy and dedication to her valued customers. Discussing with you makes her tick, and she believes in the power of personal connection.

Steven REtiere
Head baker
Steven has been honing his talent for breadmaking since the age of 15. First in France and then in England, he now satisfies the small and large cravings of his happy customers in Lachine.
Today, Steven passes on his extensive knowledge to his team of Au bout là-bas bakers. He even won 3rd place in the 2024 Montreal's best baguette competition!
